What this article helps you do
Interpret Calendar and Trade Log counts correctly.
Follow these steps
- 1
Treat one flat-to-position-to-flat lifecycle as one logical trade.
- 2
Count entry-side quantity as contracts.
- 3
Count each provider fill as an execution.
- 4
Keep scale-ins and partial exits inside the same logical trade until the position returns to flat.
- 5
Split a reversal into the closed position and the new opposite position.
What you should see
A buy of two contracts followed by a sell of two displays one trade, two contracts, and two executions.
Common mistakes
- Adding entry and exit quantity together.
- Counting a working stop as a completed trade.
- Combining opposite-position reversals into one closed trade.
