What this article helps you do
Confirm that contract count measures entry-side quantity rather than entry plus exit quantity.
Before you start
- The affected trade and its execution list.
Follow these steps
- 1
Open Trade Log and select the logical trade.
- 2
List each execution in timestamp and sequence order.
- 3
Identify the flat-to-position entry quantity.
- 4
Exclude ordinary exit quantity from contract count.
- 5
Split only the excess quantity that crosses through flat into a reversal.
- 6
Compare the result with Calendar and report the execution IDs if they differ.
What you should see
A buy of two followed by a sell of two is one trade with two contracts, not four.
Common mistakes
- Adding entry and exit quantity together.
- Counting a working stop order as a trade.
- Failing to split a reversal at the flat boundary.
